The 14th Annual Arizona Hip Hop Festival Is Here And This Year, No Jumper Is Taking Over Phoenix
Updated: Oct 4
Phoenix, it’s been a long time coming. The biggest celebration of Southwest hip hop is officially back and ready for the record books. On December 12, 2026, the 14th Annual Arizona Hip Hop Festival is taking over 9th & Jackson in downtown Phoenix.
Presented by No Jumper, drip, Leaf Cutz, and powered by TruMed, this years lineup and experiences are set to be absolutely massive. Whether you’re an artist trying to break out or a fan looking to discover the next big voice in the desert, this is the one event you can't afford to miss.

Respect the Underground: A Decade-Plus of History
To understand the weight of this festival, you have to look at where it started. Back in 2014, when local hip-hop was a heavily fractured scene, promoter and CEO of Respect the Underground (RTU), Justus Samuel, had a crazy vision: bring together nearly 100 local artists for a massive one-day showcase. People thought he was out of his mind.
Instead, it became a runaway success.
Over the last 14 years, Justus ”often called the "godfather" or the "Bruce Wayne" of the Arizona hip hop scene has grown the festival from a local theatre showcase into an absolute behemoth that has drawn over 17,000 attendees. RTU has always been about fostering community, breaking down tribal divisions, and giving the youth a voice. The Arizona Hip Hop Festival isn't just a concert; it’s a cultural cornerstone that put Arizona hip hop on the map.

What to Expect This Year
With No Jumper stepping in to present the 14th annual event, the stakes have never been higher. The festival will feature a massive, walkable downtown footprint packed with MCs, DJs, b-boys, producers, and live painters.
For the artists hitting the stage, this year also brings a massive opportunity: there is a $1,000 cash prize on the line for the best record of the night. Bring your A-game, because the right eyes will definitely be watching.
